Flood to the Montrose Daily Press Printing Warehouse
A broken fire hydrant caused the Montrose Daily Press printing warehouse to flood. They have a press time release every day at 3 pm. The Before Photo depicts the state the warehouse when we arrived at 11 am. The standing water had to rapidly be removed because it was crucial to also reduce the RH, relative humidity, within the printing area. Rolls of newsprint do not stand up well to moisture packed air. As we removed the pooling water, we set up axial fans and air movers to direct the ladened moisture air from the confines of the building. Several large LGR dehumidifiers also helped. The After Photo was taken at press time. The Management of the Montrose Daily Press promised to run a headline, in a future edition, about SERVPRO's tremendous effort to keep the presses rolling.
