Mold Damage – Montrose Laundry Room

Mold damage in this Montrose home’s laundry room began with a simple hose leak behind the washing machine. The small leak was out of sight, and the drywall wicked up the moisture, so the leak went undetected for some time. Eventually, the wall became saturated with moisture and water started showing up on the floor. SERVPRO of Montrose / Telluride was called in to clean up the water. During our routine damage assessment process, the presence of mold was discovered. The combination of moisture and darkness behind the washing machine had led to the inevitable growth of mold.
